A family business with 100% Costa Rican capital. It is comprised of five companies that form an agroindustrial chain of businesses that handle every aspect of production, all the way from choosing high quality plants up to and through the sale of timber products and pineapple products.
The Company was founded in late 1985, and since its inception has functioned under globally accepted principles and sustainable criteria . The group owns more than 10,000 hectares (25,000 acres) in the north of the country. This purchased area (mostly paddocks) was reforested and more than 50% of the land is conserved as forest and wetland.
Today, the farms are managed as a productive unit in which care for the environment, production, the workers and the surrounding communities are an integral part of a sustainable productive ecosystem that unites forests, wetlands, forest plantations and pineapple cultivation.
